Joseph’s Coat has the following volunteer opportunities:
Sorting Donations
Volunteers choose a bag/box of donations from the holding area and go through the contents. This process involves checking clothing to make sure it is clean and without stains, tears or broken zippers. Volunteers also check radios, lamps, vacuums and other small appliances to make sure they work. Acceptable items are placed in the appropriate department.
Donation Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Volunteers on donation days usually commit to a morning or afternoon shift. Call 651-291-2472 or email info@josephscoatmn.org for more information.
In-Store Help
Our goal is to maintain an environment of safety, dignity and respect for shoppers, volunteers and employees. Shopping is by appointment only to prevent long lines and overcrowding the store. Volunteers who work on the store floor greet shoppers, assist them with their shopping, and answer questions. They also help with the shopping check-in and check-out process.
Volunteers who work behind our hygiene counter greet shoppers and give them the hygiene product offered that day, as well as towels, bedding, and new items (when available). Call 651-291-2472 or email info@josephscoatmn.org for more information.
